Damaged safety railing
Reported via desktop in the Pavement Defect (uneven surface / cracked paving slab) category anonymously at 19:47, Monday 22 September 2025
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS8200094.
You closed TfL ref: FMS8195481 today saying it has been resolved. Well, you;ve put some barriers around the damage and not yet installed the replacement No Entry sign. Did you ignore the rest of my msg asking when you would fix the damaged railing as you cross the A41 which were cut in 1/2 about 1-2 yrs ago following an RTA and was reported to TFL several times ?
Do you not think it's important to replace that broken section or are you waiting for a pedestrian to die before you take action ??

Nobody attended today and if they did then they clearly didn't look properly. This issue dates back to an RTA 1-2 yrs ago when the railings at the crossing were cut and then never replaced or repaired. At one stage they were being held together with cable ties which is a joke considering they are there to protect pedestrians while they cross the A41 for speeding traffic which collides with the barried and traffic lights on a weekly basis. In addition to this all the railings are either lob sided, defective, damaged or broken in genera from RTAs. You, TFL and failing in your legal duties to maintain your infrastructure and god fidden there is a fatality but you will be held accountable as I have documented each and every time I have reached out to you and you have ignored the request to repair the safety railings.
