Pedestrian Crossing

Reported via mobile in the Safety concern (traffic or pedestrian) category anonymously at 18:14, Wednesday 24 September 2025

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS8209698.

I wanted to flag an issue with the pedestrian crossing outside Leigh Stationers Academy near Reinickendorf Avenue. The traffic lights take quite a long time to change after the button is pressed—often over a minute. Every morning around 8am, you can see lots of school children waiting to cross, and the long wait often leads to some of them trying to cross before the light changes, which isn’t safe at all. Since this crossing is right by a school, it would make sense for the lights to respond more quickly to help keep the kids safe. Would it be possible to look into this and see if the timing can be adjusted?
