Traffic lights hard to see

Reported via desktop in the Lamp out (traffic lights) category anonymously at 09:59, Monday 6 October 2025

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS8257160.

Set of incandescent bulbed traffic lights are hard to see and need upgrading to LEDs.

These are located in Hayes near college way where Uxbridge college hayes campus is located.

I have attached a photo of the not so bright head unit in question being the pedestrian lights.

Currently i highly recommend an upgrade of signal heads to LED and replacing wait bulbs to LED whilst keeping the existing controller where applicable.

This can benefit contractors as they have to switch a less intensive load and therefore run a lot longer.

However you may choose to upgrade the whole setup as the white posts these lights are attached to appear to be rusting away on one side (according to street view dated August 2020) (screenshot attached)

Please consider my request for an upgrade to rectify this lack of visibility.
